I bought a couple of summer dresses from both Lulu’s and Shein, and I thought it would be fun to compare the quality and also note the price points for each.
Lulu’s Satin Mini Dress
This is a super cute little satin mini dress from Lulu’s, and it is a really nice quality. It’s very thick but not like too. I really like the style of it. I think this deeper back is really cute and very fun for summer.
Lulu’s Two-Piece Textured Dress
It’s actually a two-piece dress, and it has a very nice fabric and pattern on it. I think the thicker fabric and texture make it very high quality and give the impression that you probably spent a lot more on this dress than you actually did. This dress is on sale for about $68, which I think is a pretty good deal. It has a little corset tie in the back, which is really cute and also helps to adjust it. So if it’s a little big or a little small, you can tie it how you want it to fit better.
Lulu’s Tie-Front Two-Piece Midi Dress
The latest dress from Lulu’s is another two-piece dress, and it’s really cute. I love how the top flows a bit with the skirt. Somewhat of an almost opposite shape to the previous one.
But again, it’s still beautiful in its own way.
I think that quality-wise, it’s pretty thick and good quality. It’s not a completely silky material. It’s kind of a medium. So it might be a little bit undersized for me. Lulu’s was so good, but it might be a little insufficient for me, mainly because of the size.
Shein Satin Open-Back Dress
But overall it’s a little bit thinner than the Lulu’s dresses. So I would say it’s a bit cheaper in quality. But the price of this one is only 9 dollars. I think it’s perfect for going out and you don’t want to worry about your dress getting dirty.
Shein Open Back Mini Red Dres
This dress is a very similar style to the Lulu’s dress.There is a bit of a difference on them. I can say that the Lulu’s dresses is better quality.
I feel like the Shein one is thinner and a little bit lighter, so I would be kind of nervous about this one potentially breaking. The material isn’t as thick, which would be a pro or con. This one is only $11. I think this one is really cute, but it definitely is not at the same quality level as the Lulu’s one.
Key differences between Lulu’s and Shein dresses
I would say there are two key differences between these brands: Lulu’s dresses are definitely better in quality, but keep in mind that they cost more than five times as much as Shein. It’s also worth noting that shipping is a little faster at Lulus (5-10 days), whereas at Shein you can wait up to 21 days for your purchases due to the fact that they ship from China.
