How do Wantable and Dailylook curate clothing selections?
Wantable
Let’s understand how Wantable works. First, you sign up on their website. Then you fill out a detailed style quiz, which asks about their size, preferred colors, favorite styles, and budget.
In the quiz – you will need to specify the following parameters: Height, Weight, Jacket Size, Bra Size, Shoe Size, Shirt Size, Dress Size, and Bottom Size. At this stage, you can also click on the link to the Size Chart to understand the sizes better. There is also information for the Plus Size category and instructions on “How to Find Your Measurements.”
After filling in this information, you will need to specify your body proportions (shoulder width, torso length, hip width, leg length). Then, indicate the shape of your body with options such as Pear, Straight, Hourglass, Apple, or Full Bust.
The next step is to specify how often your stylist should focus on the following occasions: Trendy Items, Business Casual / Work, Laidback / Casual, and Date Night / Night Out.
You can also specify how you like your clothing to fit, such as dress length, pant shape, and so on.
There is an option to indicate the types and categories of sets you would prefer to receive more often. You can mention the colors you like best, preferred accessories, and other details.
In the last section, you can write a note and add a Pinterest link with a look you like to let your stylist know if you have any special requests.
You will also be asked to rate different styles that are suggested to you, such as classic, boho, rock, and others. The final step is to provide your Billing Info and Shipping Info to place the order.
The quiz helps Wantable’s stylists understand each customer’s unique fashion preferences and needs. Feel free to include any instructions or requests, for your stylist by leaving a note.
Based on the quiz results, a personal stylist curates a box of 7 items tailored to the customer’s tastes. Wantable offers different types of edits, such as Style, Active, Sleep & Body, and Men’s edits, to cater to various needs.
The curated box, called an “Edit,” is shipped to your address. Shipping is always hassle-free and complimentary. Customers typically receive their box within 3-15 days, depending on their location.
Wantable does not require a subscription. Customers can order a box whenever they want or set a schedule for regular deliveries. Wantable works with lots of top-notch brands like Free People, Skies are Blue, DriftWood, Liverpool, and others to offer you good stuff. There are no charges for shipping or returns.
When you make a purchase from your choices they refund the $20 you spent on assembling it. You get to set your spending limit. Just let them know how much you’re comfortable paying during the quiz. Your personal stylist will then curate items that fit within your budget range typically priced between $50 and $100 each.
The more you shop the more you save. While there’s no obligation to buy anything from your selection if you purchase five or more items you’ll enjoy a 20% discount, on your order.
Unwanted items can be returned using the prepaid shipping label included in the box.
You can drop off the return package at a USPS or FedEx location.
Dailylook
You can sign up on the Dailylook website. Complete a style questionnaire like you would on Wantable. This quiz collects details, about the customer’s size, fashion preferences, lifestyle, and budget. In this quiz, you can add links to your Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest so that the stylist can better understand your taste and preferences.
You can specify not only your preferences for clothing and accessories but also items you would prefer not to be offered. Additionally, you can mention your favorite brands, preferred styles, colors, lengths, shapes, and much more.
Afterward, a personal stylist carefully reviews the quiz responses and handpicks up to 12 items that align with the customers’ preferences and requirements. Dailylook focuses on offering high-quality clothing brands and trendy pieces in their selections.
The curated box is then sent to the customer’s address with shipping ensuring delivery within 1 – 5 days. Upon receiving the box customers have five days to try on the items. They can choose to keep and purchase what they love while returning the rest.
In such a box, you may receive items from brands like Badgley Mischka, CAPULET, NIGHTWALKER, GLAMOROUS, and many others.
Dailylook has a pricing model where customers receive discounts for keeping items – such as 50% off the lowest priced item if three or more are kept or 50% off the two lowest priced items if five or more are chosen.
For returns unwanted items can be sent back using the provided shipping label in the box. Dailylook offers shipping, for both returns and deliveries making the entire process hassle free.
About Quality
Wantable
Wantable is known for its thick, durable materials that ensure long-lasting wear. Items like the mint green square-neck tank and the jade green v-neck top are noted for their excellent fabric quality and stretch. These items are crafted to be elements, in anyones closet often turning into choices because of their dependability and coziness.
The clothing from Wantable also features vibrant colors and fashionable designs. Examples include the Skies Are Blue tops and the coral pink tiered maxi skirt, which are praised for their stylish appeal and practical details such as pockets and well-finished seams.
Daily Look
Daily Look’s clothing quality varies significantly. While some items, such as the Search for Sanity high-low fleece sweatshirt, are well-made, others, like the Level 99 cargo pants, are perceived as overpriced and not aligned with the latest trends.
This inconsistency in quality is a frequent point of frustration. Daily Look offers a mix of trendy and basic items, but the selection can be hit or miss.
For instance, the Gilly turtleneck sweater and the Renee C floral print dress often feel cheaper and less stylish than expected for their price tags, resulting in dissatisfaction with the design and fit.
Wantable garners positive feedback for its high-quality fabrics and thoughtful designs, consistently delivering pieces that customers enjoy and rely on. Daily Look faces criticism for its high prices and inconsistent quality.
